1. Carseat out of storage. Nope.
2. Cradle out of storage. Nope.
3. Infant clothes washed and ready to wear. Nope.
4. Hospital bag packed. Nope.
5. Bouncy seat fully assembled and stocked with batteries. Nope.
6. Baby's name selected. Nope.
Obviously we have our work cut out for us. But lest you think we are completely ill-prepared, here are some things we have accomplished.
1. Pedicure. Because when I'm in the stirrups, all anybody will be looking at are my darling tootsies.
2. Eyebrows tamed. So Gabe will no longer say, "Mom, in the morning you look, umm, ummm, nervous." What does that even mean?
3. The 7-year quilt! Whew. Gabe asked why I never gave this to him after I'd made it for him. Well, because I never finished it, that's why. Shout out to Sara's mom Pam for the easily-understandable directions on quilt binding. Yes, I did hand-sew the entire back of the binding. Maybe I won't even let this baby use it. Maybe I'll just hang it on the wall.
4. Baby shower attended. Huge thanks to special ladies in my ward who hosted this, and gave really great gifts, and recognized that even boy #4 is reason to celebrate. (Pictured, my friends Sara and Whitney and the two in utero boys who will fight it out over baby Nora.)
5. Nearly 38-week self-portrait. No, I'm not expecting twins. Just one big, hungry boy.

In reference to things you have accomplished:
1. haha, i am now more open than ever now that i have two kids. what will happen when i have more kids. will i start talking to the mailman about how dilated i am? it is quite a nice pedicure, though!
2. mine have become untamed after having nora, so good luck keeping them up

4. good luck to the two boys in utero getting past nora's dad for even just a date!! (hint to the boys, take up sailing, boating to get points with the dad)

You look so cute Laurie! You know by #4 that you can just have somebody else get the cradle out of storage while you're in the hospital. Congrats on finishing the quilt! Oh yeah, and I always had my toes done nicely for the big event too. And had a good tan when the season permitted. Not once did a doctor or nurse comment/compliment on these important issues but I know they had to be jealous. Or something. I'm totally looking forward to your big announcement! Hang on a sec, have you told us his name yet??

I love your belly shot!! You carry like I do. Can't wait for that baby to get here and for you to start sharing photos of him. Good luck with labor. AND with coming up with a name. That seems to be the hardest for us, too.

The world is SO small. I know Whitney. Okay, well I don't really know her... but her husband and my husband were mission companions... and they keep in touch. Crazy.
Yay for finishing the quilt. And for all of those other accomplishments. I am really excited for this baby.

Oh, Laurie, you look darling, sister! I love your eyebrow shot and your profile shot. You seriously look so cute!!! I say, hang the quilt on the wall...you worked so hard and long on that thing...that way you can somewhat guarrantee it's preservation. Oh, and everything will come together, it always does. Here's to #4, we're so excited!!!

Your quilt came out really nice Laurie. I'm so glad you finished it :) I'm getting very anxious to see your little fellow myself. Eyebrows and nails are both good...tummy completely ready...baby shower done...Let's get this boy here :)

i love your post. Why aren't your feet swollen and how come your face isn't fat? no fair.38 weeks doesn't look so bad on you! happy pushing. are you going for drugs or pain?

OK, I have been really bad & have not checked your blog in a long time. I had no idea you were pregnant!! Another boy, huh? We should get our kids together one of these days in the future. I hope all goes well with delivery. I'm sure you'll get some comments on your toes. I had my toenails painted & during a c-section someone commented on them. What made them look at my toes?? Good luck & looking forward to seeing pictures of your cute baby.
